this is a quote from lane: aka his boss and best friend, was just posted, just found out about the insurance. He was wearing a Suomy helmet. If you look at the helmet it's a wounder he's still with us. Was broken in 3 places. One brake ran from the front starting by his left eye almost half way around the helmet. And I don't mean cracked but broken and the impact permately deformed the entire helmet. I've seen a lot of helmets after the fact over the years and have never seen anything like this. The bike considering isn't as bad as you'd think it's even rebuildable. I have the helmet at the shop and his bike is at my house if anyone would like to see them. 281-288-9929
Silver is going in at 7:30 this morning for his back operation. Yes he did open his eye's yesterday a little bit and a good thing also was that they had to stop visitors from coming in yesterday evening because they said he was showing some signs of understanding that people were there and was getting up set and fighting his resraints. He's still out but they belive is starting to come around because of his fighting. Balling up his fist and pulling the resaints moving his toes and fingers.
The brain wave monitor when first connect was only getting a 5, yesterday morning he was up to a 9, with a 15 being normal.

We were planing on going up this evening but were told to call first because of the operation they may not let visiters in and that thursday may be better.

I also wanted to Thank everyone who has stepped up to help Silver it's great the way the bikers have come together. Especially to thank Craig for getting them the hotel and getting Walmart to donate clothing, Tree for getting the blood drive started down town and Johnny for getting the paypal donation site started. He's looking better but is still a long way from getting out of the woods and the family is still going to need all the help they can get.

Since Silver came to work for me, my wife and I have almost started looking at him as a son to help, he's not much older than our own son. He's a great young man who really didn't deserve this and has a bright future ahead of him if we can get him through this.

On the bad side we talked to the police last night and they are placing the entire blame for the crash on Silver. The officer told us that it didn't matter that the SUV pulled out in front of him. Had he not been wheeling and traveling at the rate of speed he was going the crash wouldn't have happened.

Also of a good note if you can find anything good about this is he does have insurance. We thought he didn't. His insurance was scheduled to cut off Thursday the day he completed school.

well, it certainly reads like he was entirely at fault on this one - and it bit him hard... Hard lesson to learn and he is paying dearly.

Would it matter if he did? Would it change any preformed opinion or judgement that you may have against him. Why do you always have to bring stuff like this into a thread with a situation like this. You are the type of negative person that always brings stuff like this up and if you showed a little dignity and respect towards other peoples lives you might be a decent person and a good MSF instructor. I cant fathom why someone would pay you, an MSF instructor, to teach them any type of life saving skills when you dont show any respect for anyone elses life except for maybe your loved ones. It may be hard for you, but try and remember that YOU are not the only important thing. I am sure he and everyone else here has loved ones. Maybe one day you will have to answer for the hate you bring upon others.

I will keep him in my prayers.

is this thread about the drivers poor car? And I said respect for other peoples lives not their personal property. if the driver did not pay attention at the light so he should be just as much at fault. but that is not what matters right now. Someones life is at stake right now. I hope you never have to deal with that "REALITY".
