I remember when I got T boned in TMGP... I went flying when a guy on a motard hit me when I was almost in full lean. He managed to keep it upright ( only knows how) and I went flying. The NSR landed on my left ankle/shin area. I wound up having a torn ligament and had about 4 weeks of physical therapy afterwards. Luckily the bike was still functional and I set my 2 best lap times after the crash...

Sounds totally familiar....and yes, I wonder how they managed to stay up and just 'get away'.

Reminds me of the drunk driver who always gets away unscathed.
