could be the problem. remove and wire them directly to your battery to test the polarity

LEDs won't work wired backwards...

One end is an annode and the other is a cathode and electrons only flow from annode to cathode... Otherwise it is just a diode.

Chances are you bought show signals and not DOT approved signals.

They're not bright at all.
What bike do you have? I have several brands of LED turnsignals in stock.

I use these on my 636, since I have a fiberglass body this was my only "stylish" choice.

They are not the highest quality but they are easy to install and look good IMO. Not to mention bright!

Don't know if you have resolved your LED issue yet, but have you tried radioshack? You can purchase brighter LEDs and fit them in your housing you have or buy an new housing for it.
Go with a step light cluster, pretty bright yet cheap. My old ZX9 show bike had LED turns and other random LED replacements all made from Radioshack parts for a couple bucks each.

Micheal,
They're o.k, but if you're looking some for your FZ6 I think I have some that will fit and look good and are VERY bright.

Looking for something to replace the stock-stalks on the rear.
Had been considering something to put/place on the side fairings below the grab rails.
