Some people will say no, some will say yes.
I would say yes, not only will someone be able to program the PC to smooth out your fueling(I say Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited), but you'll be good to go with any other engine mods down the line. The PC will allow you to tailor your fueling to any of those future mods, allowing you to get the most for your money.

I say go-for-it.

If you only ride on the street, I wouldn't waste the money.

You're not going to see much hp gain to justify the cost.

In my experience the PCIII will help smooth out your power delivery as well as net you a small increase in performance.

OK, IN THE EVENT ONE BUYS A POWER COMMANDER SHOULD ONE STICK TO THE FREE MAPPING PROVIDED BY THE SELLER OR IS IT BETTER IF THE BIKE IS TAKEN TO A DYNO JET SO IT GETS A CUSTOME MAPPING? I WANT TO BUY ONE [PC] TO IMPROVE MY FUEL ECONOMY AND I FOUND A SELLER THAT GIVES FREE MAPPING ACCORDING TO THE BIKES MODIFICATIONS, I JUST WONDER IF IT WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE THE FACT THAT THEY DON'T ACTUALLY HAVE MY BIKE TO TUNE THE PC ACCORIDNG TO IT. DO YOU KNOW OF ANY DEALER THAT WILL CUSTOME TUNE A POWER COMMANDER FREE OF CHARGE IF YOU BUY THE PC FROM THEM? I HAVEN'T CHECKED WITH Motorcycles Unlimited YET.

just as patrick would answer: you will not get your moneys worth with a dyno tune. a "general tune" that is provided on say power comanders web sight or other sights(not all) is a pretty darn good tune as long as it is matched up correctly with your bike/mods. a dyno tune will get about 1 or 2 more hp(you will not feel it nor see it). and u will spend anywhere from 300-500 on a dyno tune. or u can bring it to us(motorcycles unlimited) and well set it up with a good tune and youll be good to go.

THIS PARTICULAR SELLER PROVIDES A MAPPING ACCORDING TO THE BIKE'S MODS, WHICH ONE HAS TO SPECIFY CORRECTLY. SO WHEN I RECIEVE IT'LL BE READY TO GO.
WHAT'S YOUR PRICING ON THE POWER COMMANDER AND TUNE FOR AN 06 ZX6R? I KNOW THE POWER GAINS ARE NOT SIGNIFICANT, BUT IS IT WORTH THE MONEY?

yes it is worth it if u plan on modding the bike or even if u plan on leaving it stock it will smooth out the power quite a bit. and if u plan on modding the bike with say slip on, or full system, aftermarket filter, V stacks and what not, power comnader can acomidate to all of that so the bike will run properly and safely and last longer

I recently put aftermarket pipes, K&N filter, and a PCIII, on my bike and I was not happy with it at all. I put it two different maps that were supposed to match my setup. Seemed like almost no change if any. Then I took the bike up to Patrick and Brandon at Motorcycles Unlimited. They did a test ride, some adjusting and tuning and WOW what a difference that made. I'd check the price of a PCIII with Motorcycles Unlimited and have them tune it. Then you'll see a difference. Or buy it, install it, then take it to them. Either way you'll get the best result if you take it to them.

I put on my full akra exhaust and power commander at the same time, mapped it from their website and wow, you can actually feel the difference. I still need to get it dyno tuned

Once you get your PCIII you can download the different maps available and play with them.

http://www.powercommander.com/powerc...oads.aspx?mk=1

The software is very easy to use and straightforward, just remember to backup any custom map made for your bike.
