Talking Hello from Waller

Good day all,

My real name is Randle Bain. Live in Waller, Texas about 40 miles west of Houston. Been riding about 42 years now and have clocked somewhere over 600K miles, I quit counting. My first eight years were spent in the dirt (on purpose), great way to learn to ride. While in my twenties I roadraced for seven years with the CRRC now the CMRA. The rest of my riding has been on the street touring as far west as California, north to Alberta Canada and east to the Mississippi pretty much everything in between those markers. These days I stay in Texas due to time constraints.

Street rides are a ’07 BMW 1200GS, a ’07 BMW G650Xmoto and a 1975 Honda 500K1 with a Sputnik hack. No BMWphile, just wound up that way. No dirt bike because places to ride in the woods are drying up. shame IMHO. I am thinking of taking the ‘tard and doing some track days.

I prefer to do my own wrenching. Cannot fathom the idea of trailering anything but a race bike or broken motorcycle, but to each their own.

I would describe my riding style as spirited while generally shunning speeds over the ton. My sport bike is the G650Xmoto which wheezes out a bit over one hundred I have heard. Fine by me as I prefer tight roads with lots of elevation changes and challenging corners. A good example is Ol’ Number Nine south out of Luckenbach.

Happy trails!

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength-
