Micron exhaust

Hey, so im looking for a micron slip on....but the black to blue fade that seems to match the R6 perfectly. Like the one below
yam1

The only problem is that I hardly ever find that exact model (guess its rare). I was wondering if it was at all possible to maybe buy a complete black or carbon slip on and then paint part of the exhaust the Yamaha shade of blue. Ive never heard of people painting their exhausts or even how they turn out (since I guess special paint is needed for the high temperature). Anyways just wanted some opinions about whether I should just wait it out to find that exact exhaust, or if it might turn out cheaper (and more unique) if I end up paying someone to professionally paint a plain black/carbon Micron exhaust.

Re: Micron exhaust

Just go with a carbon fiber high mount. Micron always seems to be out of their , well at least they were when I was looking. I have a Hindle but it goes good since our frame is black.

Wouldn't the paint peel? If you want color, I would just buy one that's already colored.

:iamwithstupid: yeah that micron looks huge! But I think its just cuz its next to the tail which is narrow. Those exhausts aren't really that fat as they look.

Re: Micron exhaust

i have that exact pipe and (if you look at pic) you don't loose your passanger pegs, they include a bracket to move the right one forward...other than having one person complain that it was a little akward feeling i have had no problems with it...i also coated the mid pipe with some black header paint so that it will mach a little easier (plus it was "blueing" and i didn't like the look)
