Agreed, but there is a certain way to do it. Especially when it comes to businesses and even more so when they are a sponsor.

Be professional, state the facts without the name calling/bashing etc.

Any random person can sell you a part or provide a service. It doesn't matter how good or well established they are, things can and WILL go wrong.

It's up to you to go back to that person or business and try to resolve that matter first. This is where companies make their name, AFTER the sale.

The problem with simply having an opinion is that there are too many asshats looking for handouts and freebies, or are just simply never satisfied no matter what.

Attempt to resolve and stick to the facts.

You know what? And this is THE FACT. If you had your bike poorly serviced OR had been damaged BY THE SHOP themselves. Do you think that the shop is going to ADMIT their negligence and take full responsibilities for their mistakes? 99.9% will totally deny their mistakes and asks you to leave. IT'S YOUR WORD AGAINST THEIRS. And when they do happens to agree with their mistake or damage, they USUALLY tells you something like, "Oh, we'll gladly smooth it down to make it look less noticing". Just their way of taking full responsibility. But not admitting the act of negligence.

So you have been to every shop and know for a fact that 99.9% would deny it? Sticks to the facts man, you're still talking out your a$$.

I know of one shop that does take responsibility for accidents. In FACT, I was standing next to a friend when he received a phone call from said shop saying that they had dropped his bike and dented the tank, but were already in search of a replacement. Yes it sucks, but accidents can and will happen.

Some people would go on a flaming rant about it even though they followed through to make it right.

If you do not agree with it, tell them it's not acceptable. Tell them what your expectations are and give them a chance to make it right.

why so upset when the shop clearly stated their side and furthermore extended their apologies for the miscommunication, and attempted to credit the customer with $45 to make right what one thought was wrong? sounds like another case of the customer is right in this case, even if done after the customer left after paying. i think the issue should have been brought up before the money and the keys were handed over.
