cbr is a killer

i have a 04 honda cbr 600rr and it keeps killin my battery's i've already had to.. and the other day i had to push start it 6 times to get it home..

buddy of mine told me it was my l.e.d's
another one said it might be my voltage regulator...


any other suggestions.... i need to get it fixed before i buy a new battery

no way it's your LED's I have 120 LED's on my F4i and I have left them on through 3 football games on a sunday *9 hours* and started it up and went home.

They dont take any power. my guess is somthing else

get the bike running (push start) and hook a voltmeter to the posts.

if its anything like 14 (not 12) then its charging just fine, if its not and youre just reading battery voltage then youre charging system is faulty.

It sounds like you either have

a) a faulty charging system, i,e; voltge regulator or stator or
b) a short somewhere in your wiring that's drawing amperage from the battery even when the key is off.

If it's a charging system component than it's just a simple matter of diagnosing what's bad and replacing it.

If you have a short drawing amperage, that's a little more involved in that you have to isolate the wire / wires that are shorted and repair them.

We can check it out for you while you wait if you'd like, and either let you know if you have a charging system issue or otherwise.

yes i batterys were charged ...bought brand new.

its been about a month since i had the battery and the another night.. while i was cruisin.. that when it started to die...

also... its at a very low idle.. barely hittin 1,000 nothing over.. thats after i start and also after i ride it... that how it would die on my i would stop at a light and bam.. dead.. then i would have to push start it..

have you tried turning your idle up?
