DONT EVER GO TO GRADPRIX ON RICHMOND ROAD - HEZ A CHEATER

he charged me $70 just to put the speedometer cable back in my bike. he said it'll be $25 so i said ok & then he handed me this bill of $70 saying it took him so long to put that cable back in its hole.
no new parts , just putting the cable back in the hole for $70. thats like $70/hour ... even a doctor dosent charge $70an hour.
Bad part is he cheated & went from $25to $70 without even asking me.
worst experience will never go again .. cheater .. someone should sue him ..
plzz dont give ur business to this asswipe

I thought $70 was about average for an hour of work?

$70/hour is pretty much the going rate for a mechanic

was there a sign posted of the hourly rates? if so i would guess it'll be 25.00 plus the housr labor fee. or did you ask in any way if there was an hourly labor fee for the work being done? well if you asked " does this 25.00 include the hourly labor fee?" or is is just 25.00 for everything? well if you didnt ask then that is your bad, if you did ask, then thats bad business. but in all dont recomend you posting bad threads on here due to your personal exp. but hey you can do as you please its just not the way to go about things. just my thoughts.

I have dealt with Evan with my Gixxer the entire time. He and I have done dozens of transactions, for several years now, and most verbally. I have never had Evan go back on his word, not once.

I wrote more but deleted it. Sigh...."Dee Dee Dee"

yeah, going rate for a mechanic is usually between $65-$85 an hour.

but if they told you 25....and then charged you 70 WITHOUT your consultation, then that is on them.

I personally never had any issuses with Evan, but then all the mechanics that I knew quit, so I started going to Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited he never had a chance to work on my bike, bc I got with Josh whi is my personal handy man . And now I deal with Javi, because he's closer and treats everyone with repect and I have a great experience every time!

Estimate = Guesstimate
Written or non written it is the same. You bring something in that suppose to be an easy job but comes to find out it is harder than it looks. Shop manager should told the owner extra fees/charges before doing more work.
