427 Shelby Cobra WIPEOUT

This happened at the West Alabama Icehouse on Saturday.

Video makes me wanna cry. 427 SC is an all-time great, shame to see this. Hopefully it's a kit car.

The car is still sitting in the garage parking lot at Hazard and W. Alabama if you wanna check it out.

i blame the friends around her, she didn't know what she was doing. What a bunch of good friends. Plus it is a kit more than likely.

Stupid hurts. You could see that coming from the start. Horsepower + alcohol + obvious inexperience = crash. At least someone was smart enough to get it on video

I saw that it was a fiberglass front end, so was almost assuredly a kit.

Didn't want to say anything about the state of the driver because I know some people from this board hang out up there and it might have been someone that they knew, but her state was definitely noteworthy.

I wansn't there at the time, but a buddy who was there said that she was swearing (before the accident) that it was an original '67 - he doesn't know anything about cars, so couldn't say one way or another.

Kit or not it's still a shame to see a nice car wasted like that.

Total kit car... I'll put money down that she was driving with two feet too by the way she was braking. If she wasn't then she was WASTED and should never have been let drive any thing.

Why did they say "Call 911" no one was seriouslty hurt and they could have just drove her to the hospital to get checked out. What a waste of paramedics time!

A guy that works for me pretty much lives at the Icehouse. He says the lady is a regular up there and that it's her car, not her husband's. He told me that the dashboard is signed by Roush and that the motor is totally built.

Says that the lady appeared totally sober when she got there, had two beers and was then stumbling drunk - making outwith some biker dude at the bar before she wrecked.

I'm thinking there's more to it than two beers....
