I almost went blind!!!

I was riding north on yesterday and there was so much traffic that it was a 20-30mph CRAWL...

anyway i lifted my visor cuz it was so hot and a piece of glass slammed into my eye!

BUT it was at the exact instant that i happened to blink... IM SOO LUCKY cuz right now my eyelid has a 1" slice. i'd show a pic but my sis stole my camera :eh:

i feel so blessed

Maybe that's why the Tennesse cops were hassling folks about shatter proof glasses.
It's a law in Florida too, helmet not required but eye protection is.

Glad you're OK too! Although, a pirate-like eyepatch would've made ya a dashing neccesary villain. :icon_bigg

:notworthy @ your ninja-like eyelid reflexes. Most ninjas catch arrows with their hands, but you go for the sharp piece of glass with the eyelid trick. Show off!!

All hail the return of the panty-neeenja! :laughing6

Lucky you. Next time don't open your shield so much half way is okay.
That's also goes to the guys that wear shades and ride. Wear a shatterproof shade instead of the glass shade unless you want to cut your eyes open.

I did the same thing but a big bug hit me right next to my eye. So now, I just crack the visor open a little to let some air in.
