Weird Trade ...

Some guy just offered me this for my bike, he's asking $5500 for his truck and from what I can tell, it seems to be pretty clean ...

what's your opinion .. i'll post my bike and his truck ...

his truck >> http://austin.craigslist.org/car/388849349.html

my bike >> http://houston.craigslist.org/mcy/393560029.html

Seems pretty clean. Depends on what you want, a bike or a tricked out truck.
Nada average retail on your bike is $4800.00 in good condition.

I appreciate it, but the bike is my 'only' transportation other than my wife's car ..... if something happens to her car, that's not good for us..

I'd look at maybe selling the bike then and trying to find a good used Civic or something like that, but than that's just me.
Have you guys got kids?

My question would be why does the truck have a newer front end? Just cuz it looks cooler, or because the original was smashed in an accident?
Then when he says cuz it looks better than the orig I'd call him a liar and kick him in the ankle, 'course I'm a badass that way.
(the accident theory might explain why the suspension was changed too)
If it was me looking for primary transportation I would pass this deal by and look to CarMax or a reputable dealer. If it's just gonna be a toy then maybe, but I don't think so.

just don't want to see a regretable decision, given the fact that you're 20, you may be into that type of truck but for me, 199% USELESS.

haha, yah it would be a fun toy for me .. nothing of actual use ... but it would be better for all weather, or if my wife's car breaks down .. it's a 1999 taurus and we all know how Ford's last .. haha

i honestly just looked at it and I can't see myself getting rid of my bike, no matter how hard i try ..

front end swaps are a common thing even if the truck has not been wrecked, also just because you are not PLANNING on having kids dont mean it wont happen. Just something to kep in mind.

Used Civics 4tw! You can pour sand in the motor and it'll still run for another 100k miles.

well, maybe not - but they're really reliable.

I,ve dealt with those trucks alot in my business, and for the most part they are real HACK jobs, I personally wouldnt give $ 500 for it, just my 2 cents, If u need a extra car I could hook u up with something prolly, or if anything on ur car breaks We can fix it. Dont make a bad decission, you will regret prolly wright away>
