Thumbs up NO SURPRISE: ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL NOOB DAY AT MSR 8/12

Just wanted to take the time and THANK AS USUAL, the staff and instructors at MSR for making today another great track day!!!!

Aside from the HEAT, which was tolerable if u were rolling, and maybe 3 minor crashes, everyone had a great day. Can't thank BUCK, ALONZO, DEREK, ALLEN, JASON, LARRY, and BILL enough for their guidance, patience, time, and encouragement with me. I definately FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE on the track now THAN I EVER have in general in the last 5 years on my bike thanks 2 u guys.

I know I said this was my last day, BUT I REFUSE TO QUIT after today, I HAD SO MUCH FUN, to stop now would truly be MISSING OUT and would be REGRETABLE in the end.

Thanks again guys and see ya soon!!!

MSR FTW!!!

another huge thanks to all the instructors. First track day for me, and I had a blast. Unfortunately I had a little get off at turn 12, and my bike is done for a while. Luckily (thank ) I walked away without a scratch. Just a tear in my right glove. I am still trying to figure out what went wrong, but the front washed out on me and before I knew it I was sliding into the dirt.

So now the question is do I get it back to street form, or make it a track bike.

I cant wait to come back.

so you went off at the launch? (the slight elevation with the left hander)

what would the cost be to get it back to street form vs. keeping it track only?

Take it apart and see what all you need to get it street worthy. Was this the silver one? it didn't look that bad, but I never looked at it up close.
I'd say it'll take about $1000 it get it track ready, depending on it you have a few things on or or not.

Oh and on a side not Thanks to Mr. Woopie for letting me take that rocket out for a spin. First time out on that track, it was fun.

not the launch. turn 12 (I believe). The right hander after the keyhole.

My fairing stay is bent pretty bad, the subframe is a little bent, right peg, brake lever (not sure if the master cylinder is done too), bar end...so far, thats all I know. I havent thoroughly gone over the bike. When I was sliding I saw it flip at least one time. Frame, forks and engine seem ok.

It was surreal. As I was sliding on my side, everything kind of slowed down and I said to myself "No way, I am not on the ground!".

So basically you are saying do whatever is cheaper

Thank u and ev1 else who has such good advice 2!! I soaked it all up and used what i could. Had been taking potassium for the last week and stretched for the past day or so, that helped me a lot it seems.

Even after the whole day out there, i was still able to ride home. Don't get me wrong my muscles were tired but not as fatigued as the 1st time.

Thanks to Buck and the crew for braving the heat! Thought the day went good. Candie was doing great until just couldn't take the heat anymore. My friend Josh, on the Repsol, did great. he ran off about 3 or 4 times and scared himself a little, but said he learned a lot and couldn't wait to get back. It was frikin' hot!!!

I'm glad I wasn't the only one to run off a couple times. Had a lot of fun, next time I'll do better.

My wife asked if I was going to do this again and when I told her I was, she said "good ... you spent way too much money to only do this thing once" ... she's soo cool.

What a fun day. A lot of people learned a lot and displayed loads of improvement as the day went on. I'm glad everyone had fun and hopefully we'll see you back out there.

I was worn out when I got home. I laid on the couch at 7pm or so and passed out! Got up at 8pm and crawled in bed and slept until 9:30 this morning!
