^the high speed left // the 2 straights is my concern. T1 and T7 at TWS (Texas World Speedway) did a number on the left side of my tire.

Michelins don't wear very well at Cresson...

I would throw some 'Stones on that in a heartbeat. You can do the track day AND race on Sunday with a new set.

Well too late. I went by Motorcycles Unlimited for a new front(2ct recall) and brandon said they will not let me pass tech with that tire.(left side indicators showing(same level as tire tread) very clearly. So went ahead and through a new power on the rear as the replaced the 2ct.

The stones i've ridden(2set of 014's) I didn;t like at all. Typically I ride Michelins or Pirelli's.

090 FTW on your SV.

I have several sets of take-offs you can try if you like. I also have some slicks.

The Michelins and Pirelli are good for sprints, but when they wear, look out. If you are looking for a long wearing track tire, there is no substitute for the 090 or Bridgestone slick on the SV.

Thanks Tom,
The BT090 is a DOT race tire The BT014 is a good all purpose street tire. Very different animals. To each there own though, Michelin and Pirelli all make good rubber these days. I think I saw you at TWS (Texas World Speedway) on the last Saturday TD, were you in A group?

Yeap that was me. I have nothing again bridgestone btw just that 014's I've tried I didn't like. Wouldn't mind trying a free set of BT090's to make me a believer though hint hint.

jk

I may look into to them next time since I've heard nothing but positive things about them but I need to get faster before I spend $$ on race rubber.

Tom,

I'll take you up on those tires if you don;t mind.

off topic: I'm taking off my kick stand and was hoping for a diagram for the wires or some pictures to help. can't find it on the SV board.(then again I suck at the search buttom)

Kickstand switch is really, really hard to do.

Step one: unplug the switch at the plug under the seat.
Step two: run a jumper between the outlets on the plug (I used a paper clip strategically bent to fit the plug and taped it over with electrical tape).
Step three: un-bolt the switch from the kick stand mount.
Step four: Riiiiiiiiiiiiide!

Come 'an get 'em. You can ask Calimarikid about the 090s too, he's a believer as well. If you give me enough notice, I'll bring them to work and you can pick them up in Sugar Land.

If you bring the bike when you get the tires I can show you (or do it) in the parking lot (the plug mod).

Just jump the wire across the plug.

It's stupid easy to do.
