You may find that the charges go from being a misdemeanor to a felony. that would be bad.
Misdemeanor means fines, maybe jail time, maybe community service, maybe probation.
Felony means all the above plus you'll never vote again, never own a firearm, never having a good job again, never get rid of the stigma of being a convicted felon.

that's why i very seldom speed. not worth the risk. i'd prolly be dead if i had this bike when i was in college. I opened up that ninja 600 so many times up ther in oklahoma... at least top end was "only" 135 ish, not near 200

i got into this situation on wednesday night. i was riding with a group on 610 and i was in front along with 4 other bikes. we were all doing about 120-130(according to the cop), my speedo said 100. Anyways, he was on the feeder road with a laser getting speeders from the feeder road at S. Main St. I didn't see him or his lights come on until he pulled me over on 288. After passing him, i exit and head on 288 north. Cruising around 65 or 70 waiting for people to catch up that were in the back of the group, i see this cop come flying up behind me from the ramp so i slow down and get over one lane, well he hits his lights and pulls up behind me. He tries to tell me that i was running from him when he comes running up to me gun drawn. After a bunch of talking and bullshitting i walked away with a speeding ticket for 120 in a 60.

The cop asked me after he gave me the ticket, "Did you think about running?" I replied to him, "No, cause I didnt even know that you were trying to chase me." He said, "Well it's a good thing you didnt, because look whats above you." I look up and sure enough there was the ghetto bird just chillin.

Moral of the story, don't speed and don't run. You never know whats around the corner or whats in the sky above you.
