QUOTE=Tango1300 Man... u are talking to a guy who has logged 32000 miles on a HAYABUSA since June 1st of last year! I bought it on that day and rode her all the way to Annapolis, Maryland where I was for 9 months on my dad's 72' Sailing yacht. Each weekend I would make a trip somewhere... I traveled every back road from Pennsylvania to Alpharetta, Georgia! I would load up my saddle bags with water and granola bars and just go ride til the batteries in the GPS would die!! LOL! My longest trip was 861 miles in one day! I just couldn't stop... the trip was so much fun!

next time you go on a long trip like that let me know in advance. I usually take 2 weeks in my car and tour alot of northern cali mountains. but i think the East coast, or wherever will be good on the bike. I like long trips.

"hehehehe you say you realize you were being stupid yet as soon as you pick your bike up after a wreck you wheelie it again? your lucky nothing that escaped your quick "in the middle of the road" inspection wasnt ****ed up or you could have wrecked again and been up creak without... well yeah"

+1 - glad you came out relatively OK but think twice about doing this again.

That was over 24 years ago. I got plenty of other scars from when I was your age, and they're still there.

Road Rash, Pizza Elbow.... whatever you wanna call it.... does last forever. Yours doesn't look too bad, though. Nothing deep. Glad you're OK.

I am glad you are okay and didn't get hurt worse.

Yeah, one doesn't appreciate gear until one needs it. I know the feeling, I had full gear but I'll upgrade happily.

If it is too hot to wear gear, for me it is too hot to ride. And if it is still somewhat bearable, remember what they say "Sweat washes off".

Being sore and hurting sucks.
