BYRDMAN and Friends do Arkansas

5 of us left late wednesday night to ride Mills Creek OHV trails in the Ozark Mountains. Most of us have never ridden off road anywhere other than south Tx which consist of small elevation changes and lots of mud/sand.
Mills Creek is totally opposite! Huge hill climbs, rocks, more hill climbs, rocky hill climbs, descents, and rocky descents!
Pictures do not do the angle of the ground justice...if u lose momentum and stop, you would immediately begin to slide back while on the front and rear brake.

yeah, Texas off road riding sucks. You got to travel out of state for the good stuff, AR, TN, NC, NM, CO, UT, AZ, NV, ID, CA, etc. All have kick off roading. Gonna bookmark that spot, rode through there last year but no single track, all FS roads.

Thanks for sharing Byrdman, rode these hills many, many years ago and was definitely a new experience for me at the time. Lot's of riding we never see here in Houston for sure.

I've got one for sale!

That looks epic, I'll have to try it out sometime. Also if you want challenging terrain hidden falls near Austin has some pretty serious trails.

Arkansas also has some hidden gems for the Sportbike crowd. It's actually more desirable than the Three Sisters IMO.

Much respect to you guys. Took the kids to a track outside of San Antonio this weekend. They "tried" following some older kids on a trail and had some issues. I borrowed a buddies KTM-450 (I think) and had to retrieve them. That KTM was a beast! Not sure how you guys ride those big tall heavy bikes on those trails! Especially when your momentum is impeaded by helping other riders negotiate hills and such.

If you guys plan another trip, post it! We are looking into this area (Mulberry Mtn. and Mill Creek). Great pics, thanks for sharing!

We stayed at the Mulberry Mountain Lodge. Consider it if you decide to go. The trails were accessible directly from the property and the facilities were really nice.
