Re: Sport bike Trikes , Why?

I saw an article in Sport Rider a couple of years ago about a marine who lost both legs in Afghanistan shortly after buying an 03' Gixxer 1000. He made a trike out of his bike and it actually looked pretty cool. He had formula 1 type independent rear suspension and other cool . For that, I think it's right:
For any other reason, :dontknow: :dontknow:

Re: Sport bike Trikes , Why?

You'll probably find out that most guys who ride trike have some sort of leg injuries or problem w/ their equalibrium. I give em a big right: for wanting to ride anyway... Just my two pennies.

Re: Sport bike Trikes , Why?

Saw this company at the ROT rally in 04'

http://www.mysterydesigns.com/tomahawk.htm

They make trike kits with independent rear suspensions, and a hydraulic assist called "Tiltster"
This allows the bike to lean into turns, and corner much better without lifting the outside wheel off the pavement.

Re: Sport bike Trikes , Why?

As mentioned above I think they are great for people with a disability...Like that character in the movie "Biker Boyz".

thats one ugly bike.
as a harley rider, I dunno when the time is that people change from 2 wheels to 3. seems like I always see fat old folks riding them. that = a lot of time for me to keep riding 2 wheels, well the skinny part anyways :-)
