Texans not so prime in prime time games

The Houston Texans will try to improve their mediocre record in prime time regular season games when they host the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday Night Football on KPRC 2.

The Texans overall record in prime time regular season games is 6-16, including a loss to the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football this season.

The last time the Texans won a prime time game was last season in a Monday night game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The last time Houston won a Sunday Night Football game was 2012.

Overall, the Texans are 1-4 on Sunday Night Football, 1-6 on Thursday Night Football and 4-5 on Monday Night Football.

The Texans will have another trend to try to break Sunday night -- they have never beaten the Colts in prime time, losing all five games.

Beginning Sunday, the Texans have four more shots this season to improve their prime time record. Houston also plays Broncos and Raiders on Monday Night Football, and the Bengals on Thursday Night Football this year.

Tune in to our pregame show beginning at 5:30 p.m. Sunday on KPRC 2, followed by the Texans and Colts on Sunday Night Football.
