Jet Ski World Finals Teaser...and Groms

Hellooo MotoHouston! Been a while since I posted, haven't been riding a ton since it has been so freaking hot here.

Just came back from an amazing trip to the AZ/CA border at Lake Havasu for the 2016 IJSBA World Finals of stand up jet ski racing/freestyle/shenanigans. Incredible adventure that was for sure, my first year competing, and couldn't have done it without the Groms.

Seriously....we just left our stuff in our pit and used the Groms to travel in the city. One of the biggest surprises of the trip was how many people didn't know what the a Grom was. And there a were motorsport people too!

"Is that a Chinese pit bike?"
"It's street legal?!?"
"That goes 60mph?"
"I have a Ruckus and..."

We got stopped in gas stations while they were on the trailer and must have had 6 separate people wander into our pits to ask about the little bikes. Pretty funny considering being surrounded by some of the world's finest $30-$50k skis. It was my first time ever having a pit vehicle and I have to say I love my Grom. I've owned it longer than pretty much all of my other motorcycles. Even took it offroad to get to a local beach, knobbies would have been sweet!

I edited together a teaser video of the adventure and racing and included a bit of Grom vlog in there. Once thing we learned is next year we need to bring the side by side, pulling the skis up hills manually sucked. Too bad can't put a hitch on a Grom hahha

Awesome set up (trailer) and great way to go fast in water!
One of my simplest pleasures is riding early am, then hitting the lake at the heat of the day for beverages and wakeboarding!

I'm down, would be fun.

Thanks everyone! It's not too hard to swim with a helmet once you get used to it....and you get used to it quickly when you crash a lot lol.
