The point to take home here is you need AT LEAST a 1000cc super sport to commute with and if traffic gets bad you can "split like a ", all while preaching to others about how they are inconsiderate and jeopardizing your safety/commute time.
Thanks for the lesson bevo.

So you think it should be illegal to pick up your phone while you drive? What if it's your girl calling about something urgent and she starts calling over and over?

Is it also going to be illegal to pull off to the side to answer a call? Because I'll be doing a LOT of that for work and I'm sure others will too.
Hopefully it attracts a lot of onlookers and slows down your commute- and don't give me that "wont affect me" line of BS. You use your car plenty.

Flop's got nothing to worry about, unless he gets in front of a texting truck driver. Good times

Again I've got better things to worry about than some truck driver who might rear end me at some point in the future. I'd rather be able to legally answer my phone when I need to.

I installed a stereo system that probably blows yours away, thanks.

I don't use hands free because guess what? I find it more distracting than just picking up the phone which is muscle memory. ESPECIALLY hands free texting. that .
You just watch hands free will be illegal next...then they'll come for your motorcycles.

Yes I think Bluetooth units are cheap and accessible enough at this point we can "evolve as a society" past phone use while driving. If you are texting/calling while driving, you're putting yourself and others in danger more so than if you just paid attention to driving.

People have this misconception that multitasking is actually possible, it is not, at all. To truly multitask one would need to be a Siamese twin, essentially. One person alone cannot devote enough focus and attention to more than one task at a time to sufficiently complete more than one task. Compounded by the fact that you drive a stick...you're not doing anyone including yourself any favors.

Pulling off to the side out of everyone's way to answer a call or text is exactly what you should do. If it's important enough then you can add a minute or two to your commute for that precious text from ma.

Hopefully it reduces the insane amount of dumdfounded idiots that pay more attention to their phone than their own and everyone else's safety. I'm hoping it affects everyone positively and we "evolve" beyond slaughtering each other with 2 ton tin buckets because you had to call Bevo a yankee and a liberal puss on MH.

There's a few missing links in your chain between banning Bluetooth and banning motorcycles

Not too far of a stretch. Using cell phones makes you more likely to be involved in an accident and subsequently die.
Bluetooth may be a little better, but really are there any statistics to compare it to talking on the phone?
After all is the persons hand being on the phone really the issue? I think it's just they can't concentrate on driving and talking at the same time...

Riding a motorcycle makes your 30 times more likely to die. In a society where we need to micromanage peoples cell phone and seat belt use, it only makes sense to ban motorcycles on public roads as the next step.

Besides you irritate the majority when you "split like a ", have large group rides, ect...so since as a society we are solving things as a majority and not as what should be a personal liberty, motorcycles would be banned in a heartbeat.

What's funny is that splitting is legal in CA, texting and driving, not so much

That's all muscle memory. I don't have to think about it. When my blue tooth starts up and I have to start repeating , can't hear people, ect...that's a distraction.

Not a very good analogy. Try riding the bike hands free using your voice to control it and get back to me...
