Texans WR Will Fuller named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week

Rookie receiver Will Fuller V was named the AFC's Special Team Player of the Week thanks to his tie-breaking, 67-yard punt return for a touchdown in Houston's 27-20 win over Tennessee on Sunday.

Fuller's third-quarter score proved to be the game-winner. He became the first rookie in Texans history to score a touchdown on a punt return and the first Texans player to do so since Keshawn Martin on Nov. 17, 2013.

Fuller becomes the first player in NFL history to gain over 300 yards of receiving, and to return a punt for a touchdown in his team's first four games of a season. He also joins Tavon Austin, T.Y. Hilton and Dez Bryant as the only rookies in NFL history to score a TD on a reception and a punt return in the same game.

During Sunday's game, Fuller also racked up 81 yards receiving on seven catches, one for a touchdown.

Houston drafted Fuller out of Notre Dame with the 21st overall pick in the 2016 Draft.

The Player of the Week marks the 37th time a Texans player has won the award, 12th for Special Teams.
