Roads, sidewalks repaired near NRG Stadium in advance of Super Bowl LI

Drivers will experience a smoother ride near NRG Park, as a few roads are finished being repaired ahead of Super Bowl LI.

Road workers wrapped up repairs on a 4.5-mile stretch of Holly Hall Street near NRG Park this weekend.

The project is part of a two-year $30 million street repair program that was launched earlier this year by Harris County Precinct 1 Commissioner Gene Locke.

The program was enacted to repair the streets before the 2017 Super Bowl. The program previously repaired parts of Knight Road, Ardmore Street and El Rio Street.

"The eyes of the world will be on Harris County and Houston during Super Bowl festivities and it's important that we look our best and make it easier for visitors to get around," Locke said.
