I've used both. I prefer the wired mic. Some people prefer the boom.

I actually bought a mount kit that allows for all kinds of configurations.

The way mine is setup now - earbuds plugged directly into the mount and wired mic using this mount. Model # SMH-A0304

I look forward to the new models driving the price of the 20s down. Almost $500 for a pair is steep (to me).

Has anyone else had trouble with the mounts crapping out? It seems the wire crimps easily, thus eliminating the sound.

I have blown through now my 3rd mount. (Same model as Solracers)

This happened to one mount. They replaced it for free. Great service.

I used my SMH10 the other day for the first one in a while and the part on the bottom that holds it in the mount broke off. Let's see if they will warranty a 5 year old model or if I'm gonna have to try to super glue it.

Can you elaborate on "hearing me"? Are you talking about voice commands or calls?

Just did my first ride w it, not liking it

I wear earplugs, so that made it worse

It couldn't hear any of my commends

Had to tap the helmet for it to pick up, and then it couldn't hear my commands so it didn't do anything

Positioning the speakers is key. If they aren't right in front of your ear hole you can't hear very well. Positioned correctly you'll have to turn them down even with ear plugs. As far as the commands, I've never had any trouble. What kind of phone do you have?

Did you check to see if there was a firmware upgrade?
