SwiftE, ask Pigpen about my old neighbor horror stories.... at least you give them a reason to call!!

If the neighbor has issues, no fix really. Just make sure you are legit if the cops show up, or you might get one having a bad PMS day and have the track bike towed.

The officer told the old bitty that she can't do chit unless she catches me on the bike.

I usually run a few loops around the block then park it in the garage and get back on my crutches

She'd have a fit if she lived on our street. We have several cruiser riders come by and man, they are loud.

She must really not have anything to do. Does she call on neighbors mowing their yard as well? Or people honking to get a person out of a house? Or dogs barking?

:BangHead:

I mean, what is the call about? Riding with an unlicensed vehicle or plain noise?

once u figure out who it is for sure. go to a joke shop and buy a little bottle of stick perfume (morning breeze)
little bity bottle but DON"T OPEN it. most ranking smelling u ever smelt.
Take it and pour it under her outside AC unit and see if it carries into her house. if so she will have to leave.
later

"POS neighbors" - most likely how she describes the motorcycle riders who seem to have no respect for wanting peace and quiet.

The cop may will not be able to anything till he/she catches you in the act. Otherwise it is hearsay. However, if the old lady bust out a video camera, you're screwed. Just act civilized and don't be popping wheelies. Besides that, wheelies are hard on a motor especially after changing the oil.

Here's what I would do: Go down to the precinct and request and audience with the patrolman who monitors your neighborhood. If granted, just sit down and tell him that occasionally you warm your bike up by riding around the block, at or under the speed limit in a controlled manner.

Odds are, that will be the end of the police response, unless a reckless or dangerous act is witnessed.

Fortunately for me, the patrolman who watches my neighborhood is a fellow CMRA racer!
