Ramp & Haul?

Anyone happen to have a ramp & truck in the Spring area?

Need to get the FZ over to Patricks to get the bike checked out.
Bent both rims, and at present I'm not sure how comfortable I feel
trying to ride it there.

Well, between the curb and the pickup... I chose the curb.

Dang!

Guess you'll have to cage it now. Can you handle that?

If the rim is not THAT bent, you may be able to ride it, it will just wobble at higher speeds. I had a slightly bent rim on the Ninja250 I had and always rode it thinking that it was just not balanced right. I then got it fixed by SABs because it was so badly bend.

Can you post pics of how bad it looks? Maybe you are able to get it over to Patrick.

That's the Plan Fay...just trying to decide or see if I'm gonna have to ride/limp it over there.

I'll give a yell if need be... still looking at options.

Short of the story, on the way to work... we had a truck that wasn't paying attention at an intersection jump the light. (Driver was focused on the light across the intersection and not his). I had a van at roughly 3-4 o'clock, I was accelerating faster...
Hit the rear a tad too hard, broke it loose for a sec... lost the opportunity to turn out of it (and hadn't checked if the left turn lane was clear). There wasn't enough room for a full forward stop and wasn't sure if the driver would continue to stop... swerved over, lined up and took the curb as best I could.
Rode it out to a stop in the median...and limped it to work after the info was exchanged and HPD made their way out for the report.

What I should have done... let the van clear the intersection first and just fallen behind him at the point where the lanes merged. Slower approach would have allowed more time/room to turn or stop.

Me and the bike are at 1010 Rankin... between 45 & the rail road tracks on Rankin Rd. Live in North Hills (Spring High area). I can get a ride home, just looking to get the bike to Motorcycles Unlimited.

I'm not too busy today. I live on the south side of town, but if you toss a little gas money my way, i will cover everything else you need.

I had called earlier and talked to one of the guys, seems they're short a hand or two this week.
Buddha was out in the general area, swung by with the trailer and gave me and the bike a lift to Motorcycles Unlimited. (Much thanks, I owe ya). Met Patrick, left the bike for them to check out.
Sis came picked me up from the shop and ran me home, where I now search for my car keys, and starting on the paperwork and getting ready to deal (fight?) with the city.

I was thinking the same thing. You are suing for following too closely and then running up a curb that belongs to them or was it a city truck that cut you off?
