Is it the latter that you're talking about Vmaxgirl? I'm thinking, looking at your photo, it may be a safe bet. I didn't know they had a huge convention here in Texas! Hmmm, now I wanna go see. :icon_bigg
Yep yep... its the latter. I am a member of BME, some really freaky stuff there woot woot! They do have many diff conventions here, There is nothing more interesting than sitting in a room watching people get physically and mentally high from being hung from ropes and huge hooks. Something to behold... yes yes.

Do those who do this (not sure what to call the people?) take a long time before to "psych up" for it, or are they able to move into it pretty quickly?

depends on the person and their reason for suspending. Some see it as spiritual, some just like the feelig of absolute freedom.

I'd need some heavily fermented something, a dense tropical forest and folks dancing half nekkid around a bonfire painted in the blood of the evening's kill to get anywhere near a frame of mind for something that intense. :laughing6 I wouldn't mind visiting and seeing it though.

It'd be interesting to spend time talking to people who do (I'm rejecting the use of "suspenders" Arturo :laughing6) to see what kind of responses they'd give about motivation and experience.

this is what I find most interesting... sharing their experience can be quite interesting for me and emotional on their part.

Well, there you go. Geeks were once known for wearing suspenders. Arturo could redefine geekdom in the 21st century. :laughing6:laughing6
