Your buddy on that ride almost made an impression on a few riders that day.

Luckily he just made an impression on the high grass.

I'm ok not making an impression on you.

I ride my own ride, no ego to prove here just want to enjoy the time on two wheels.

Should have passed him on the outside on turn three behind the krogers if you wanted to reach that level of being able to talk about his son's unsafe riding

Great ideas from all of you...all of you know i dont want to stop these rides...its just saddening to me when i hear riders arent having a good time because of a few others that arent riding properly...my sole purpose when i started this was to show riders some really great roads that you dont have to travel so far to ride on...im not saying these are the greatest roads ever but for the imediate area i feel there hard to beat...i hoped that everyone could police themselves and i wouldnt have to say anything...i could limit the number, make it set skill levels or invite who i wanted...that wasnt my goal...ive always had open rides so everyone could come and enjoy the ride..

TMax made a great point by asking me if ive ever said anything to those who may not be riding properly...since i havent i guess its time to start..

After i pay the 2 who i owe biscuits to lets try this...
1. I will take responsibility for speaking to anyone who may not be riding in the correct spot or other related reasons...
2. Everyone who posts in the thread will understand that they are subject to being spoken to if needed and not to get ticked off if they do..i am also included...anyone seeing me do something that needs mentioning is more than welcome...
3. You make sure that you give yourself the proper skill level rating to find your correct spot in line...doesnt matter if your a pro or just beginning...the ride will go fine if we are all in the proper spot..
4. I will assign certain riders in the group to watch how thing are going in different spots in the pack...they will report to me any thing that need to be addressed...there names will not be mentioned..
5. If i need to speak to you it will be done in a polite manner...if your not the type to accept that its best you dont show up...

All of this is done for safety and for a more enjoyable ride...for those who have not returned because of recent issues please come back and join us...

I am by far no perfect rider myself and i get carried away sometimes...im working on controlling myself also...ive had a few comments that ive been riding at a faster pace thats close to causing others to ride beyond there level to keep up...from now on the pace will be set based on the skill of the group...if we have all good riders who like a faster pace we will do that and so on per skill levels...the to the walls riders will not find these rides to there liking...i will not maintain a high level of speed...faster pace thru turns and posted speeds or a little above in straights...

Hopefully this will help riders to access there skill levels before they decide to join a ride..

I am always available if you have questions...your free to PM me and i will be happy to answer questions or give you my number to personally speak to you...

When it comes down to it, its YOUR RIDE. You lead it, you lay down the rules and expectations and if people want to ride with you, they will, if not, they won't. I'm guessing MOST will. People don't always like the way I ride or ROADS I CHOOSE , but hey, they can go ride elsewhere.

The tassels you had on your bike the last ride was a great distraction to take the mind off the road and your riding skillz...lol

And yet friends of friends still show up on these rides. That's how I met up with them in the first place. I guess the key is that the core group knows what they're doing. It's not one skilled rider leading a bunch of lemmings--it's a bunch of skilled riders and the slower people are generally reasonable, but even if they weren't, it's not like they're fast enough to prevent the rest of the group from passing them anyway...

IMO you just need to set some ground rules straight and anyone not willi g to follow the basic safety protocol needs to be banned from the rides.
#1 gear
#2 keep distance.
#3 no passing in corners.
#4 no unsafe behavior.

The main reason i stopped posting rides here was because the groups size would get too large to manage and frankly i have to admit i found it hard to maintain a slow pace throughout the ride.
If you need any help sending people home let bevo, sohil or me know..we can come help.
I have led a few rides. Anyone who shows up without gear gets to go home. That's the number one tell that someone is going to ride recklessly.

I think a minimal gear requirement isn't at all an insult or a hindrance to attracting a good amount of quality riders. No more tennis shoes...coughcough Toe
