Yeah, call me a geek. LOL

I want to get an eztag for my bike but my license plate is way up under the fender. If I roll through with an eztag but they can't read my license plate I'm in violation and they know who I am. If I roll through without an eztag I'm still in violation but at least they don't know who I am, right?

The rule about displaying the plate is in case it doesn't register the tag itself (happens all the time, especially on bikes). If the booth/plaza senses you ran through without a tag, it snaps a pic of the rear of the vehicle and they try to match you up to your account based on the plate info.

If the plate info doesn't have a tag associated with it, they issue (after three occurrances) a vilation notice to your home.

I think that registering a tag to the bike is the best way to go. If you ever get pulled over on the tollway, you show the tag, they run it to make sure it's registered to that vehicle, and you are fine.

If they can't read the plate to get the $1 onto your account, then they also don't have enough to send you a violation. BUT - unlike some that intentionally hide their plate to ride the tollway for free - you are doing what you can to ride it legit.

(Try dropping the plate down an inch or so if possible if you think it'll help and/or you feel guilty.)

my tag some times works and sometimes dosn't LOL. like on the big two lane tollway its a 50/50 chance it will pick me up i check online to see my usage but on most of the exits here in pasadena the stupid arms won't go up. and a few times the ladies take the number on the bottem of it then hit the button and it pops open.

i saw a clip on Speed TV a few months back with some britts trying to find out how fast you would have to go so that the camera's won't pick you up. any one remember that? well i think it was 134 with about a 2 miles worth of track in some audi or something. the camera didn't even take a pic.

i don't suggest doing that because there most lickly a cop right on the other side waiting for you LOL.
