There are asshats that ride every brand or model of bikes: BMW's, Ducatis, Wings, Harleys, Gixxer riders etc.
However, by and large most motorcyclists are enthusiasts, and can respect, and even like bikes other than the brand they're currently riding.
I see it all of the time at the shop, and on the road.

So Bill, having seen that more often than not, in contrast to your experiences,
have you ever stopped to think that maybe, just maybe, it's you?

a few weeks ago, something happened that i never thought i'd see.
i became a harley owner.

the bike is heavy as , to me. it weighs twice what my last bike weighed. it's not very comfortable, it's loud- which i normally like, but it's too loud! the handling and suspension are crude. wooden brakes... shakes like michael j fox on wheels...
it has a ton of power though. that's pretty fun.

now that i have mids on it, and most of the willie g off of it, i think i'm doing a lot better. all i need is a taller seat or shocks, and some lower bars, and i think i'll be a bit happy with it.

i dont understand how anyone can just be happy with owning a harley. maybe it helps if youve been drinking a bit before you get on the bike.

The last time i got into a little debate with a Harley Guy it was actually some distant relative of mine at a Family Reunion party. Id never met him before. Older guy that acted like he knew everything. He saw my KLR650 (with knobbie tires) parked next to his Roadking and called it a "crotch rocket"

Stopped talking to him after that.

You should ride mine But, then again, I knew what it was going to ride like when I bought it and did not buy it to be "comfy" on. I have another bike for comfy, good handling and performance....

The difference is tractor's are comfortable, don't drag things when you turn and are actually useful

i totally it when i go under a big bridge, and i love the way it sounds when you are decelerating from a high load, all RRRAAAAAAAAAAAAA and such.
parts are dragging and rattling off the bike, but it sounds pretty good the whole way.
