Carb issues, maybe?

Hey guys, so I am kind of stumped. Single cylinder bike- CV carb, seems to be randomly bogging to the point of stalling. If I slam throttle shut while it's bogging, she backfires like a shotgun and then I can roll back on the throttle. Rich or lean, nothing makes sense to me. I can be riding along just fine at a constant rpm and then she starts acting up.
Any ideas? I will have the bike on the lift this weekend.

I'm just throwing out ideas. Cracked vacuum lines? Sticking float or float needle? Clogged fuel filter? Water in fuel?

Sounds like a stuck needle to me....the tips of the float needle are rubber, ethanol makes rubber expand and dry out. The needle tip gets to fat and either sticks the float or keeps it open. Thats what happen to me on my XR650R
