"For those who cant make my Bday ride"...alternative ride sat 8/27...9 am Buc-ees...

This will be a shorter ride so i dont get wore out for Sunday...all skill levels welcome...meet on the left side of the Buc-ees in Waller at hwy 290 and fm 362 at 9am...Ride will end at Waller County Line BBQ right across from Buc-ees...

It was brought to my attention last week that there were riders that were in the wrong skill level spots in line...
It is crucial for the ride to go smoothly that you find your proper spot in line based on your skill level...example...if you fly up to a corner and slow down considerably causing the ones behind you to have to brake then your in the wrong spot...please be aware of whats going on behind you...if your slower please wave the ones behind you past...granted its not a race but we do get a little sporty at times...generally people dont like to pass so its up to you to police yourself...
Everyone has done really well for the group sizes we have had...just a little fine tuning needed to be perfect...
Im not perfect either...ive learned some things i was doing wrong from members suggestions also...

1. Me
2. Wife
3. Son
4. Tu
5. Yillbs
6. Natedog
7. Dannyman

just tell the people getting held up to pass, the person who is slower is probably not paying attention to the people behind them anyway.

I highly suggest everyone watch this who hasn't seen it yet. It's cheesy as but very informative.

If the link doesn't work just search for Twist of the wrist 2 on YouTube

I have never done a group ride more than a few people and a bit nervous about what to do and where to be but really want to ride. Any advise? Is it an all bike type ride? Any help or advise would be great!

Stay in the back and you will be fine...the #1 key is riding at a pace you feel comfortable at...if the group gets ahead dont worry...i slow down and let the group catch up...i dont expect too many coming sat since most are coming Sun for my bday ride...if you have further questions PM me and i will be happy to give you my phone number...we have newer riders all the time...come join us...

I'll be present on sat! Also, I always keep to the back, because I don't really care to be anywhere else. However, on some roads, I have no issues passing anyone :p Ideally, if you're worried about where to be, sit in the back, as you get a feel for the group you'll quickly know where you belong.
