This week's Sports Illustrated is covered in gold. Olympic gold medalists Michael Phelps, Katie Ledecky and Simone Biles stand side-by-side on the magazine's cover wearing their medals.

This week's cover: The stars of a Red Hot American Summer!</p>-- Sports Illustrated (@SInow) August 16, 2016 Sports Illustrated has titled it, "The Greatests: Stars of a Red Hot American Summer."

Phelps won his 23rd gold medal after swimming what he said was his last Olympic race with the U.S. men's team in the 4x100 meter medley relay.

Ledecky, 19, has been dominating the pool, breaking records and winning golds. She became only the third American woman to win four gold medals in a single Olympics. Ledecky has won five medals overall

And people all over the world have been tuning in to watch Houston's golden girl and Olympic gold medal gymnast Simone Biles. Biles is from Spring and has won four medals, three gold and one bronze.
