1986 Astros celebrated at Legends Weekend

The Houston Astros are celebrating Legends Weekend with the Texas Rangers playing a three-game series at Minute Maid Park.

They hosted an autograph session before Saturday's game with members of the 1986 National League West Division champion Astros.

The player list included 1986 Cy Young Award winner Mike Scott, pitcher Nolan Ryan, outfielders Kevin Bass and Jose Cruz, catcher Alan Ashby, first baseman Glenn Davis, and third baseman Phil Garner.

Scott also threw out the ceremonial first pitch to reigning Cy Young Award winner Dallas Keuchel.

The players reminisced about how special the 1986 season was with the team coming within two wins of the World Series.

They lost the National League Championship series to the New York Mets in six exciting games, including a 16-inning loss in the deciding game six at the Houston Astrodome.
