After ten years involvement in World Superbike, Corona Extra have decided to quit the paddock.

During their ten years in the paddock they have had a wealth of success but now due to commercial reasons they have decided to go their separate ways.

The following statement was issued by Francis Batta, Alstare Group President……

“After ten years of outstanding collaboration benefiting all parties involved, Grupo Modelo and Corona Extra have decided to withdraw from the motorsport world for commercial reasons.

He threatened to pull out if they caved and gave Ducati the extra 200 cc displacments advantage. Well they called his bluff, but it turned out he wasn't bluffing. He said see ya later.
