I'm guessing a fuel line came loose from the nitrous backfire causing the fire

It doesnt seem likely at this level of racing, but I know some are spraying a wet shot into the box. Then a small back fire in the TBs lights the mix off. Its dumb as but it does happen.

We put the car on the trans brake two weeks ago and the purge solenoid melted(cold fusion , using for purge only) and it melted the nitrous wiring harness activating the 400 shot at 5,000 rpm. Went boom real hard. Only melted a head gasket tho.

Sometimes the bi-axial flame arrester will fail when the transpunion load dump sends a false positive to the FRIS-J bar cell. That sumbish turns on when you least expect it and WAMMY- next thing you know you're rolling past the finish line with your legs on fire.
I had that happen twice already.

... Shouldn't have turned that second kit on...lol

Probably a direct port fogger and had a plastic fuel line blow out...(I can't stand it when people use the plastic lines)

Not a good day for him.
