USA Olympic events set to take place around Houston this weekend

With Opening Ceremonies a week away, there are plenty of events in and around Houston that can help you send team USA off to Rio De Janeiro for the 2016 Summer Olympics.

The U.S. Olympic Men's Water Polo Team will square off with Montenegro at the University of Houston's CRWC Natatorium Saturday at 4:30 p.m.

The team will compete in Rio a week later on Aug. 6 against Croatia.

Buy tickets for the water polo match here.

You can also help send off the USA Women's Rugby team at the Hilton Americas on 1600 Lamar Saturday between 4:45 and 6:45 p.m.

There will be a rally for the team as they head to the airport to depart for Rio--you are encouraged to wear your USA Rugby gear and to bring your Texas pride.

You are advised to arrive at the hotel no later than 5:15 pm.

And on Monday, the USA Men's Basketball Team will face Nigeria at the Toyota Center at 7 p.m.

The game will be televised on NBA TV or you can purchase tickets here.
