The building is brand new so it still isnt on google maps. but this is the layout.

dont mind the pre-k writing i was using a primitive snipping tool at work.

The owner of the building got permission to park there after hours and weekends.

I live right there. Parking shouldn't be a problem. They usually have a food truck present too.

I think the main thing is everyone wants to be sure they will be able to see their bikes.I can drive by there this evening and get another pick with people there and what not.

What's with the food trucks? I like to have a bite of food with my drink but I don't want to stumble across the parking lot or street to go fetch it. Does no one have menus and table service anymore?
I stumble because I'm old, not because I drink too much.

The taco truck wasn't bad, but I like you, look for good food.

The main reasons I go to these meets isn't to drink, but to meet people and EAT. John has worked hard to find us a place and Alabama Ice House is our temporary home till we can find better digs.

It is the new hip thing.

In all actuality from a business stand point it is better for the bar. It cuts down on labor, food cost, additional liability.

Plus it gives the consumer a variety of different choices as the same food trucks do not have to be there everytime and can rotate or come/go as needed or wanted. they typically park in the back where we would likely be parking anyway.

I get all that, but food trucks don't have running water so how sanitary can they be?

actually on the contrary. MOST food truck do. they all go to a central location where they can not only get their food, they can charge their batteries, get gas for generators and also get water and dispose of waste..similar to a central commissary.

MOST, not all.

I completely understand the business advantages of operating in this manner.

I had no issue with Alabama Ice house other than the food thing. But that is the kind of thing that would make me consider whether or not to go.

I drove Kirby Ice House at about 6:30 PM tonight and it was a mad house. There was absolutely ZERO parking and even the spots on the street were gone.

The only other thing that i can think off the top of my head is my favorite little dive spot Saint Danes. It is on the corner of Elgin where the spur spits you out.

I always park on the sidewalk (as most bikes) and you can see them from the front bar.

Thoughts?
