He has plenty of time to post, has to stop every 60 miles for gas. Sun will be coming up in another 2 hours. If still riding he'll probably know by then whether he can make it or not.

You win in my book as you get to live another day. Glad to see you did the smart thing. Now you can really enjoy your ride. Take some detours, see some new sights.

You made the right call. The quality of your time once arive will be much much better which is far more valuable than any scooter with used up rear brakes that Tmax could offer.

I would have popped an Adderall and kept riding but that's just me. You had fun and have a cool story to tell. Get back in one piece!

I'm betting TMAX wins.

My prediction is, you will either do the smart thing and give up when you become so fatigued you can't see straight OR you will push yourself to the point of exhaustion and be forced to stop.

I drove from just north of Denver back to Pearland stopping only for gas. I was so exhausted that even as I was doing it, I knew I was being stupid. I was a danger to myself and other drivers.
It took 23 hours. I was going well over the speed limit but not 100mph.

That was in a truck with the A/C blowing and a nice, quiet, comfy cabin. On a bike, I don't think so.
Maybe if you were on a Goldwing...
23 hours, wtf? I just did that drive in about 16 hours going 70-80.

I dont think your bike would have made it. Motards start doing some strange things around the 600 mile a day mark. We screwed up 3 out of 10 motors on a 12 hour day in the hill country. Recent trip back from big bend took out a ktm 690 with low miles after 600 miles. Clutches slipping, overheating, etc. starts happening a lot once you start doing that kind of mileage in one day on a single. Would have been badass if you made it though. Now imagine what those crazy mother that do the baja 1000 solo go through. WOT through deep sand all through the night.

Meh. I drove Houston to Miami on 2 hrs of sleep after being up 2days straight. Lots of caffeine is the only way I made it. that

I've done similar and have also passed out behind the wheel on less(hours awake over course of few days). When you're falling asleep it's time to get off the road asap

I dozed off on a bike once. Woke up in the next lane slowly drifting to the outside shoulder. Thank I woke up when I did.
Probably was only gone for a few seconds but yeah, I got off the road.
