no not primer as in sealer primer but a dark color under the final coat. just do two thick coats and you may need a 3rd light coat. remember, this color will only come in satin finishes so dont just roll it on like youre coloring a wall (if you paint a flat finish paint its ok then). roll it on straight up and down and when your done with the wall, use the roll to comb the paint in one direction. this should eliminate streaks and uneveness.

greyish color would look sweet other than that id just leave it like that and pull color to that wall with a painitng

well, my tv and surround are black. my furniture is dark chocolate, and the back wall is merlot.
