I have a red accent wall in my apartment the exact same color as you plan on doing. Be aware that it makes the room look much darker. Also a bit smaller.

You may want to consider putting the red on the wall facing the window where the couch is at.

i painted my bathroom that color...it did make the room look smaller. i still may have enough paint left over for you to do the wall...i'd have to ask the better 1/2 if i could give it away first...

hey paul, just a head up when purchasing this paint. dont go cheap. a good satin finish paint from Sherwin Williams is the best IMO. you will need two coats and drawing the line with minimal paint on the brush is best. when that dries up add a second coat like normal.

Definitely do a primer first! Then two coats should be good.
+1 on Sherm Williams.
