Funny?

The find several motorcycles in this guy's home/business that are STOLEN and (I believe that one of them even belonged to a member here on the board) and you wanna talk about innocent?

Do you think the police raided this guy's place because he's a convenient target for police wrong doing? Maybe he just came home one day and the motorcycles followed him like a lost dog huh? Do you think he's being a good guy by taking the rap for his sister and she's the one jacking motorcycles? Surely you can't be that foolish to find this 'FUNNY?"

I find nothing humorous about it at all !!!

I HAVE NO SYMPATHY FOR ****ING THIEVES!!!

I work hard to put food on the table and a roof for my family and the $$$ I have left over for myself I don't want to see taken by some asswipe that wants to steal instead of EARNING a living.

Try this...if you caught your neighbor with several stolen motorcycles in their garage next door to you, including YOURS, you would walk over to them and put your arm around them and tell them, "DUDE I'M SO SORRY THAT THE POLICE RAIDED YOUR HOUSE AND FOUND MY STOLEN MOTORCYCLE IN YOUR GARAGE, I REALLY BELIEVE YOUR INNOCENT BECAUSE YOU HAVEN'T BEEN CONVICTED, HERE'S SOME MORE OF MY $$$ TO POST YOUR BOND YOU POOR INNOCENT ALLEGED CRIMINAL.

I'd hate to think that they would catch him in your house assaulting one of your family members and you'd not pass judgment on him because a jury hasn't convicted him.

Regarding the aforementioned, alleged criminals (according to you) give up their right to privacy when they commit crimes and everything becomes PUBLIC INFORMATION. The criminal justice system sees fit to make this information available to everyone so that we will know who to watch out for AND ESPECIALLY TO WARN US WHERE THEY ARE.

Get with the rest of the world and the reality of the situation.

You know what, I'm not a hard that can't understand you having empathy for a friend (I'm might be stretching a bit here) going through some in his life and all. BUT a bike thief on a bike board isn't going to find many people sympathetic to his cause, especially those who were direct targets of his handy work or anyone else who has had their bikes jacked.

That's what a bike thief does to your head long after the thought of having stolen something from you is long gone from his mind, it will never leave from your own. I can assure you (speaking from experience) that once someone has invaded your home and stolen a motorcycle that belongs to you, you can replace it but every time you go out there to see if your bike is still there, there will always be a fear inside you that the bike is going to be gone again no matter how well you secure it, and that feeling will never go away.

Can you imagine if this guy actually targeted members on the board by watching the threads and where they hangout or actually live? That's some scary thoughts right there (if you're honest with yourself).

I don't know this guy and I've never met him, BUT for the DA's office to pursue a criminal case against him because the police did what they get paid to do and found him in possession of tens of thousands of dollars worth of STOLEN MOTORCYCLES makes your argument kinda weak in my book and things aren't looking too good for him as a trusted business owner dealing in motorcycles.

What are your thoughts?

Well said DOA. I'm glad he got caught.
Anyone who has ever had a bike stolen (or any other beloved personal property) is smiling today.

I know he won't serve long, but at least he has been exposed.

1 Stolen bike I would be willing to give him reasonable doubt.
>1 there should be no question.

I guess if I wanted to play devils advocate
aka Defense Attorney I could say that he was repairing the bikes for someone and that they were not his bikes.
But to prove this he would have to be able to hand over the information of the person(s) that he was doing the work for.

But lets be real, this ain't CSI or Miami Vice. The guys a thief.

If the vehicles were at his shop then he'd have more of a defense. Possession of stolen property is a crime in itself. In the end, the may drop the theft charge and settle for the Possession charge.

If no witnesses or proof that he did take them, possession is it. Prolly just probation.
