ok mr msf ? why do you pass judgement on everyone cause they dont buy the bike you say they need? not everyone is the same, different people, different bikes, not everyone needs to start on a 250 or 500, if they arent stupid they will resist the throttle temptation

well in reality they turn the same way and brake the same way, accelerate using the throttle the same way.

kinda weird how most pro racers start w/ small bikes/cars and work up, but somehow street riders should start at the top and get better.......:eh:

lets stick to reasons why a 600ss is "a good beginner bike" vs getting personnal.

come on man, you can do it!

I don't really care what some one learns to ride on...just as long as they have some common sense and know that a liter bike has more power, can be quicker than an 600, and weighs a bit more....which all in all effects they way a bike feels and rides.

oh yeah, and they don't run into me

So, some people start in old beat-up trucks when driving, others get a brandnew Z3, some babies pop out of the mama's womb and start running out the room, others crawl first. Some folks start in local CMRA first, then move up to AMA Supersport, then Superbike and then 250cc MotoGP then regular MotoGP, others get on the bike first time and next year are in MotoGP. Some folks go out and get a dirtbike or 250/500 to learn riding bikes on and others get a brandnew Busa.

The stats speak clearly against beginners on SS or 1K+ bikes. Because you are a lucky minority doesn't mean anyone else has to take on the risk. The risk is high.

If you don't believe it, become an insurance adjuster. You'll see.
