IMO, your best bet for a "hub" for this ride would be Kerrville. They have lots of choices for motels and it's a great location for a 2 day ride. You can go south and ride the Leakey area one day and then hit the Lukenbach/Fredricksburg/Llano area the next day. If you're not trailering to Kerrville, you can get there pretty quick on a bike while still making it as sceninc as possible. Take I-10 out to Colombus, then get on Hwy 90 which goes under I-10 and parallels it till Seguin, then hit up 46 thru New Braunfels over to Boerne, then hop on I-10 for a few more miles to Kerrville.

Stay away from 2222/Lime Creek Rd and anything too close to Austin. If you're gonna come out this way, you might as well go to the best riding in the state which is near Kerrville.

I'd be interested assuming I can get off work whatever weekend it ends up being, and I have enough spare change in my bank account to cover a night at the hotel and 6 tanks of gas.

Hill Country roads for upcoming trip.. this is where we'll be in a couple weeks..

Riding backroads to and from as well, so should be a good 4-day trip.
