Blacklisted: UPS @ 290 & 34th

Just a heads up, folks.

I ordered a jacket from MotoLoberty in Dallas a little over a month ago. When it arrived, it was too big. I called them to request an exchange, expected to have to return the original first. They had the new jacket in the mail with a tracking number to me within 3 hours. I cannot speak highly enough about the customer service. These guys are great. If you're in the Dallas area, stop by and give them some business if you can because they deserve it.

I went to the UPS store at 290 & 34th (next to Randall's) to return the jacket. I insured it for $300 to cover the cost of the jacket. I watched them put it in the box and I even wrote the MotoLiberty order number on the shipping label. I paid for the shipment, got my receipt, and went about my business.

Well, I realized today that I hadn't heard anything about them getting the old jacket back, so I called them. Ted, the guy who had been helping me with the entire exchange, said he did get the box and he emailed me about it. I pull up my email and sure enough, about a week ago, he emailed me. Not sure how I missed it, but whatever. In the email were pictures of the box. No jacket inside. Instead, it was full of Comcast equipment (modem, remote, router, cables, etc.). Ted, being the awesome person he is said "No worries, man. We're not stressing it. I figured maybe you sent something to Comcast at the same time and they got the labels mixed up or something."

I cancelled my Comcast service several months ago and returned the equipment to a storefront location.

I'm 99% sure someone at the UPS store stole the jacket. I'm stuck at work at least until 3 but, rest assured, I will be heading straight there afterward to raise absolute until this is figured out. I have my receipt, and the store has cameras, so I guess we will see how far that goes.

Just wanted to give my NW folks a heads up if they need to ship anything that's worth anything.

Anxiously waiting to see what transpires!

Nothing worse than stolen bikes, fishing rods, and mail!

Years ago my wife and I ordered a surround sound system for ourselves for Christmas.
Was shipped UPS. We Lived in the Dallas area at the time. Our package made it to the distribution center one city over from where we lived. From there it magically disappeared. No one could explain what happened.
Since then I use Fed Ex. LOL

You could always sit outside the place this winter and see if anyone working there shows up wearing the jacket. LOL

So they pulled all the records from that day. There were two packages sent to Comcast. They are opening an investigation to see if the jacket was sent by mistake. Should have an answer by Monday. There may be hope for them yet. Spoke with Ted at MotoLiberty and he said no worries just keep him posted.
