Yeah I remember riding up to that Starbucks a few weeks ago for the first time and watching that same cop pull up and start writing down license plate numbers on every bike there. Thought it was pretty funny actually.

But if you guys want to mess with him, just park your bikes and place your jackets on your back seats so it covers your plates. He can not legally come up and remove your jacket for no reason to see the plate. Just a little FYI. :icon_bigg

The MSF is not related to helmet exemption. The only thing that is required is 10,000 in medical insurance coverage and a helmet exemption sticker from the DPS office. This is regardless of what kind of bike you ride. As long as you ride on the street, this applies to you.

on a side note -- If you ride without a helmet, you must not care to use what a helmet protects. Not a wise decision on a HD or a scooter.

I did genious. If you would have read the whole thread, you would see some posts in there from me

You shouldn't be offended by my comments if it doesn't apply to you

These little threads trying to bash PD for doing their jobs (likely at the request of the business owners there....) is absolutely comical. What is really funny is the comments of "illegal u-turns" and "has warrants" and "he can't do that" with a seemingly honest statement of surprise by the poster for getting pulled over or hooked up.

Many of us have been hanging out at places like this long before most of you stopped making green poo in your diapers. I used to believe as many of you seem to, and felt like a target of the Police and felt put-upon. Life experience and a certain amount of growing up (which I still deny) has taught me that I was an idiot then, as some of you are today.

It's plain comical. My guess is that the alleged video (unless it gets edited) is not going to show any illegal or un-ethical acts from said PD. I'd bet good money that anything he did is completely justified. He may not be the most polite person in the world, but then again, he doesn't get paid to be.

Police Department is out to get all bikers haven't you heard? Squids is only running from the popo's because of diahhrea. Stolen bike threads is just a hoax to cover their with insurance fraud. Everyone should bow down to bikers because they own the street and can wheelies on the highway and excess of 150+mph, do illegal u-turn, disregard safety laws, hide plates under the fender or where ever they deems cool, without mirrors. Did I leave any else out for the popo to discriminate?

In order to get the sticker you must have either $10K in health insurance OR have taken the MSF/ERC. You must also be 21 years old.

I've got the sticker application here on my desk (filled out).

to be exact its...21+ and the 10 grand OR complete the motorcycle safety course

as for everything else...at least my pov...im not "complaining" about the officer being there for whatever reason (i.e. pulling someone over or running plates and vins) my complaint is how he just picks a guy out of crowd that had nothing to do with the illegal u-turn. ya he shoulda had his taken care of but still
