+1 on that, it does'nt really matter what brand you use IMO. I haven't seen any big difference good thing the local gas station where i live is Shell. I just put some seafoam every 2K miles since i run the 250 to the ground.

Does anyone burn oil on their 250's? i'm usually on the freeway so all that high reving may be the cause.

change your gearing to 15/41... that helps A LOT for freeway riding. 6th gear is 10mph/1000rpm (70mph @ 7000 rpm)

There is a difference between cheap gas and 'brand name' gas, though. While the base gas is the same (they often swap gas between companies) the additives are specific to the company. Ie chevron techron. The additives help prevent deposits in your engine. Different additives prevent different deposits, so it's recommended that you change your gas brand every 5000 mi or so. Mixing them, or running the same gas forever is ok, but you will end up with deposits, foul plugs, etc quicker. This info came from a professor of mine, who is a chemical engineer with 20 years of refinery experience.
