Power Commander

Hey guys,

i have a PCV installed on my diavel - it came with that when i bought it. I believe it is not tuned right and the little jerk in shifting gears is due to this.
I have been doing a lot of research and came up with two conclusions.

1. Find a good dyno shop that can help me tune this thing.
2. Find someone to REMOVE the PCV and use Tuneboy instead.

Your thoughts on which route to go with and suggestions on shop or person who can help?

Can you get an auto tune for the Power Commander? That would eliminate the need for a dyno shop

Best bet will be the custom Dyno tune, if not perhaps you can download other PC-V maps from the Internet. I have used the PC-V before in all my bikes and used the maps available on the Internet.

I looked online - and there were no maps for the PCV for my bike.

moreover, i need to figure out then how to upload the map to this as well. lol

Take it to Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited and let him map it for you.

It would be easier to get it dyno tuned and call it a day.

The autotune isnt a "plug and play" system necessarily, and unless you have eliminated the EGR/Pair/whatever you will not get an accurate AFR and end up with a garbage tune. This is also a more expensive option than a dynotune, especially if you have to add an o2 bung.

There's also the possibility the issue isn't tune related, and in this case your bike would be in the right place (Motorcycles Unlimited) to get the issue sorted.

They don't have a dyno. Patrick will probably download a map that will work for your bike if that's the issue, or he'll just fix it right.

That's easy. You just need to download the software to your laptop and connect both using a standard USB cable.

Also what modifications the bike has?

High-flow air filter? Aftermarket slip-on/exhaust?
