Picnic is difficult because you have to bring a lot of stuff (Food, drinks, blanket, etc) and a backpack is not always comfy; especially on long rides. Not many have saddle bags. Unless some non-riding folks want to bring it.

I'd say country ride, but it'd have to be a day there are no idiots doing retarded speeds on um either (yes, there are times where I'm said idiot, but I've slowly but surely gotten away from it and I don't do the country road rides anymore anyhow)...Sunday mornin, early maybe?

I think a long ride maybe too much for a 2 up ride...my gf says she loves to ride but after a while the back seat gets very uncomfortable....and remember...if your SO isn't happy then neither are you..haha

Ain't that the truth ...I agree though, should probably be a short one because as I had mentioned earlier, mines isn't really a full fledge rider yet. Gotta bring her in easy...plus, I'm not thinking she'll be as excited about the curves on a country ride as say ME...lol

Only thing needed for a picnic is food & drink - I've got panniers that can be turned into coolers for drinks and the SO would have room for the food. Picnic tables = no blankets.

Maybe someone could host an afternoon/evening cookout with a short ride before or after everyone eats...

I imagine most would rather get out of the city, and not subject their gals to stress of being around cars so much. It is about riding, so shopping not high on list.

And no bar hopping since none of us drink and ride, right?

What if I can figure out something moderate like 1/2 to 1 hour ride out to a lunch, then back.. problem will be from where everyone lives you end up with some more bike time. Guess it really depends if it is two up or two bikes.

Thats not a bad idea at all, just need someone with the space and location to volunteer, then plan the ride from there. Probably before the food so we can all relax after the ride...

Yeah i'm a fan of that idea, I bet my parents would let us use their place in Lake Jackson (South towards surfside/freeport). there's country cruising farmland type roads within 10 minutes. :dontknow:

Otherwise if we ride somewhere out of town and the S.O. don't want sore seats, we could all meet like in Katy or Tomball and they could drive a car while you ride 1-up to the meet spot and leave the car in a parking lot while we ride 2-up and then take the car back to la casa. just throwing out ideas here..

Squanto, look around your area and see if you can map a good 1 - 2 hour country ride...

Yes, you would - riding is foreplay. She's got a huge vibrator underneath her, and controls it with her right hand.
