battery question

Bought a battery that you had to add acid to it. the acid they had in the package didn't fill the battery all the way up. It was about an inch from the top. The bike runs just fine until you turn it off, it wont crank at all.

If it needs to be to bee full can I just add distilled water?

Once you put the acid in, did you charge the battery with a battery tender or trickle charger for about 8 hours, before you attempted to use it?

There should be 2 lines on the side of the case to indicate low fluid and full. What they give you should have been enough, but it needs to be topped off, I would only use batt acid.

You also need to wait between adding acid and charging. Let the bubbles dissipate

I purchased a Yuasa fill it yourself battery. Followed the instructions and never had an issue. As long as the plates are below the acid level, all is good.
